21st Blue Danube Symposium on Heterocycles in Chemistry

21–24 June, 2026, University of Győr, Hungary

Dear colleagues,

We are delighted that the Blue Danube Symposium series returns to Hungary in 2026. The meetings that started as the regional gathering of organic chemists working with heterocycles from Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, later also incorporated Slovenia. Besides growing in attendance and becoming more international, in the recent years we also acknowledged the pivotal role these molecules play by expanding into such diverse areas as molecular electronics, medicinal chemistry or chemical biology.

The capacity of the meeting is limited to allow for stimulating scientific discussions and an active social program alike. The Blue Danube Symposia also consider it their mission to showcase the emerging talents by dedicating a considerable part of the oral presentation slots to them.

It is my pleasure to invite you to the 21st Blue Danube Symposium on Heterocycles in Chemistry that will be held between 21-24 June, 2026 in Győr, Hungary. We are looking forward to welcoming you at the meeting!
